We are a political party of 5, in our 30′s 2 couples and a spare , traveling to Phi Phi Island from Oct 10, 2010 to Oct 14, 2010 (not backpacking ). We are looking for some information on the Phi Phi surface area. We are entrusting on Sunday October 10, 2010 from Capital of Thailand on an AirAsia flying and are asked to arrive in Krabi at 11h40 Cheap phi phi hotel booking. Can anyone confirm the approx price of a hack for 5 grownups from Krabi Airport to the Krabi Pier? .

Should we hold a caravan ( hack ) ahead of time or trade at the airport? I try it is a 40 min taxi ride is that true ?.

An acquaintanceship of ours, who has travelled in the area, stated that we should not book our hotel in Phi Phi ahead of time as we are travelling in low season and there are usually sales people on the ferry or in the pier area that could book us a same day room at a discounted price, any truth to this claim?. If so are these bank discounts for hostelries or hotels? .

We are looking for a 3.5-4 .5 star hotel, is this attainable or a realistic expectation using the aforementioned option? . Should we stay in the village area or consider the northern resort hotels such as Holiday Inn, Phi Phi Island Village and such? Cheap phi phi hotel booking.

We are always looking for business deals however we don’t mind paying for extra comfort, beach location etc.. Any hotel good word is welcome. Does anyone have suggestions for excursions other than the obvious Maya Bay and James Bond Island? Are there other beach areas, islands that are a must?
